Support the Jubilee Wind Project!

Some Buchanan County farmers want to voluntarily lease their property for wind energy development.

These leases provide a dependable income for farm families at a time when economic uncertainties are making times tougher.

  • Renewable eneargy projects paid $70.2 million to Iowa landowners in 2022.
  • Wind farms and other renewables paid $58.8 million in property, state and local taxes in 2022 to help support Iowa communities. That revenue helps fund improvements benefitting everyone, through funding school improvements, road repair, local park improvements, and more.

Property owners next to wind farms are respected when counties adopt reasonable ordinances, like the wind ordinance Buchanan County has in place.  

Attend the work session and tell Buchanan County Supervisors to support the Jubilee Wind Project.
